Something truly remarkable and enigmatic occurred in the Indian town of Shani Shingnapur, a no-door community, around 350 years ago. There was a lot of rain in this village, and eventually the whole village flooded. However, the people found something extraordinarily unusual when the flow subsided. On the banks of the Panasnala River, which flows close to the settlement, the residents discovered a large black stone slab that measured nearly 1.5 meters in length. they all are unaware of the immense influence this stone could wield over the village’s religious beliefs. Out of curiosity, the villagers touched the stone, and then an incredible thing happened: blood began to flow from it! The village chief dreamed on that exact night. In this dream, the same black stone gave rise to the strong Hindu god, Lord Shani.
That very night, the village chief had a dream. In this dream, the same black stone manifested the powerful Hindu god, Lord Shani. Lord Shani informed the chief that he would reside within the black stone as if it were his own statue. He pleaded that no one ever construct any building or shelter around the stone, as he wished to have the freedom to utilize his supernatural abilities to protect the village without any hindrance.
Thus, the village chief obeyed Lord Shani’s commands. Around the black stone, they erected a temple, but they neglected to add any doors or coverings. They had faith that Lord Shani would protect and keep an eye on their village.
